For our Christmas Trip in 2019, me and my family settled for the underrated Mediterranean Island known as Malta.  Having previously experienced Italy, Spain and Portugal in previous years, Malta has vibes reminiscent of a mix of the three.  I would say, Malta and it's neighboring island of Gozo are experiences like no other and I would definitely recommend it.
